Best margarita I’ve ever had! The chimichanga is really good and has a lot of flavor with the shredded beef. I LOVE their rice. Only complaint is that they usually mess up my order because they don’t write it down. I’m a bit picky when it comes to ordering, but if I’m paying for it it shouldn’t matter.

Service is always quick always clean and food is always great great service when you're eating they come back and ask you quite often if you need anything else this is one place you must go for Mexican food prices are also great

This place is so good! We went there tonight for the first time. The salsa was actually spicy (most places have mild salsa), our drinks came out immediately after we ordered them, and our food took less than 10 minutes. Everything was hot and delicious, honestly the best Mexican food I’ve had in this area. We’ll definitely be back soon.

Was invited to go here with some coworkers. should have gotten a picture of the food. It was delicious. As for the chips though I ended up getting it injected into my gums and it hurt for several days... guess I could have used some more salsa to soften them up.

Very friendly, helpful, and professional staff. We were seated quickly and waited on immediately. The food was served in a reasonable time, was fantastic, and at moderate price. There is plenty of available parking and is easily accessible from the main street.

Delicious food and great service. This place is pretty far from my house but anytime I'm in the neighborhood this is my "go to" spot for Mexican food.

Tried Guadalajara for the first time tonight for dinner. We ordered the “double” Fajitas Mexicanas to go and the food was sooooo good! The meat was so fresh and large portions! The customer service is excellent the staff was very nice both on the phone & in person. Definitely will return!

This is the place to eat. Food and service is great. They give way more than enough to eat. The place is clean. Can’t say enough how good the food is. If you in the area or passing through it’s a must to stop and eat.

During Covid19 we sat outside on the patio and the staff seemed very accommodating to keeping the area safe.

Fast service, friendly and attentive staff. Cheese dip was good. Burritos are huge, get a lot of food for price.

Stopped here for lunch. Service was friendly and our food came out fast and was hot. Taste was good could have use more seasonings. They did have an all you can eat buffet which is unique for a Mexican restaurant.

One of our absolute favorite restaurants! Liz and her staff are always super attentive and accommodating to our requests. The food is superior and the margaritas are out of this world! Especially with Hornitos! I can't recommend this place enough! Best Mexican food in town!!

I think this is the best Mexican restaurant in Ankeny. Prices aren’t too high and the food is great and you get plenty of it. Staff is also very friendly and helpful if you have any questions about the menu. I had the Chile verde meal (shredded pork with green sauce) with rice, beans and corn tortillas, my wife had the Camarones a la diabla (shrimp in a spicy sauce) also with rice, beans and flour tortillas. The shrimp were pretty spicy.

Excellent food! Fantastic service and food was to the table quickly and piping hot. Will definitely return and try another food choice. May have to work my way through the menu.

Guadalajara is probably the best Mexican restaurant in the Des Moines area let alone Ankeny. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff gives you a comfort as if you were in there own home. The staff is accurate in our orders and the speed was remarkable. I totally recommend this restaurant to all my friends and family. I look forward to my next visit.Zoo 😁

I try to go here regularly they have a daily all you can eat buffet, that lasts until 2. The food is great, the staff is very friendly and proficient. We have never had a bad experience. Oh and my personal favorite part is the extra strong drinks.

The food was amazing and so worth the wait on a busy Friday night. Not that there was was a wait for our food once ordered. The staff was awesome and friendly.

The best Mexican restaurant around! Ive been to many Mexican restaurants around Iowa and surrounding states and this one is by far the best. Waitstaff and owners are the best too.

I've been coming here since I moved to Ankeny in 2006. I have personally never had a bad experience. This is a genuine family run business that actually cares about it's customers, and the quality of their products. The staff are wonderful and the food and drinks are delicious! The new outdoor patio is wonderful on a beautiful evening!

Very good margs and food is also excellent. Popular choice for the family when we go out for dinner!

Great food, never have i had a bad meal here

This was my first time being here and I must say I enjoyed it. We were quickly served and our drinks and food came out in a short time. The salsa was fantastic and the food was great. (I got one of the combinations) Overall, great service and I will be back.

Called and ordered for pick up, they hung up on me the first time I called so I called the second time and the guy was clearly busy talking to someone else. I ordered chicken and rice and salsa and chips. Went picked it up and got home and it was cheese and rice. Very disappointed usually don’t have issues here.

Love this place. If you order margaritas they'll usually give you a tequila shot on the house at the end of your meal. It's actually pretty good tequila as well. Food has ALWAYS been delicious and a great price. We typically go for lunch. Sometimes they have a lunch buffet that is decent. Love the enchiladas and burritos. Staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and willing to help if you have questions or need recommendations.

Great food and patio. Watermelon margaritas were perfect prescription for a hot summer day. Service was impeccable, so kind and accommodating to the toddler we had with us. First visit but will return for sure.

I’ve ordered the same thing multiple times and its always a little different, idk why they don’t remember how to make their own food. When I ask for something a la carte they charge me full price.

This was our first visit here... Our children took us out to celebrate our September birthdays. The food was especially delicious, service was great, as well as, atmosphere. Can't wait to return!

Love coming to Guadalajara Mexican Restaurant. The food here is so amazing! This Mexican buffet is one of a kind. I can eat here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The aura is also one of a kind. The staff is also great. Its always a wonderful experience. GREAT PLACE, SERVICE, VIBE AND FOOD!!! Over all PERFECTION!

Great experience! I'm from Texas so I'm pretty picky about Hispanic foods when I go out if state, and they loved up to my standards. Their queso is amazing and their fajita nachos are extremely good! Only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 was that I asked for no onions and I got a few in my meal. Other than that the service was great and I reccomend!
